According to Twitter,Now the users tweet out more than 50 million tweets per day .That’s very huge considering fact that Twitter has less than 100 million users As per the blog post on Twitter, It grew from about 5000 tweets per day in 2007 to 300000 tweets in 2008 and to 2.5 million tweets per day in 2009 and according to users tweet them more than 600 tweets per second

But these stats pose some interesting questions also,Some of them are

a)How many of those 50 million are retweets? (Most of them would be retweets)
b)How many % of them are direct messages

Stats may be higher but out of those 50 million retweets most of them nearly (40-60%) would be retweets ..So this leaves out us only with 20-30 million real tweets!In Real sense Twitter has to wait some more months to reach 50 million real Tweets
